Hailing from the tranquil Basil Dayara in Pathanamthitta, Reverend Nithin Prasad Koshy embodies a deep-rooted connection to spiritual heritage. He belongs to the parish of St. Mary’s Orthodox Cathedral, Thumpamon under the Thumpamon Diocese.

Reverend Koshy’s academic pursuits commenced at MGHSS Thumpamon for SSLC and continued at Catholicate HSS Pathanamthitta for Higher Secondary education. His quest for literary excellence led him to Catholicate College Pathanamthitta under M.G. University, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in English Literature and subsequently, he pursued a Master’s degree in English Literature from the same esteemed institution.

In his pursuit of theological knowledge, Reverend Koshy graduated in Sacred Theology from the Orthodox Theological Seminary in Kottayam. His journey continued with a Bachelor of Divinity from Serampore University, Calcutta, and culminated in a Masters in Systematic Theology from Serampore University, Calcutta.

Reverend Koshy’s journey into priesthood is marked by significant milestones. He was ordained as a Sub-deacon on the 21st of May 2012 by H.G. Kuriakose Mar Clemis Valiya Metropolitan, followed by his ordination as a full deacon on the 13th of April 2013. Subsequently, on the 23rd of April 2013, he was ordained as a Priest by H.G. Kuriakose Mar Clemis Valiya Metropolitan.

Reverend Nithin Prasad Koshy has dedicated his ministry to various parishes falling under the jurisdiction of Thumpamon Diocese including St. Mary’s Orthodox Church Thoompakulam, Mar Philoxenos Orthodox Church Mannera, and St. George Orthodox Church Chengara.

His commitment extends beyond parish service, encompassing various leadership roles. Notably, he has served as the Coordinator of the Tithe and Basil Patrika, a tri-monthly magazine of Thumpamon Diocese. Additionally, he held the position of Vice President in the Yuvathi Samajam of Thumpamon Diocese.

Reverend Koshy’s multifaceted contributions include serving as an Assistant Lecturer at St. Thomas College Thavalappara Konny. He also served as the Chaplain at St. Thomas Chapel in Thavalappara Konny, embodying the role of a spiritual guide and mentor. He started his ministry at St. Gregorios Indian Orthodox Cathedral in London since February 2022. Reverend Nithin Prasad Koshy stands as a testament to a life dedicated to faith, education, and service within the sacred tapestry of the Orthodox Church.
